The Day Cruise begins from the port of Vlychada at the Southern part of Santorini. We sail close to the Red and the White beach, with our first stop ashore the Black Mountain for a swim! Put your goggles on! We carry on our sailing adventure pass the Venetian Light house in Akrotiri, entering the majestic Caldera of Santorini! “Keep your ear to the ground”, as the guided part of the cruise begins…! Keep your eyes open and admire the volcanic area, where the spectacular soil horizon colours at the cliffs of the Caldera will simply amaze you! While heading towards the Hot Springs, let the energy of the Volcano and the spirit of the island shake you up! Next stop is Thirassia island, a fishermen’s island, ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The cruise ends in one of the most amazing spots in Santorini, the old harbour of Ammoudi. In Oia. We took this cruise from Vlychada on the Rainbow. There were only five of us and three crew so it was like a private tour! The crew looked after us so well and cooked us a delicious lunch. We went to several bays to swim and the crew told us a lot about the history of the island. The crew of the Rainbow were outstanding, knowledgable, and spoke excellent English. We had an brilliant day from when we were picked up from our hotel until we were dropped off back at our hotel. This is a must do experience when on Santorini.

We took the 5 hour day cruise with Caldera Yachts. The experience was fantastic. The views, the boat, the truly delicious lunch cooked on board were all memorable. Most importantly was the crew. Friendly, warm and welcoming. Highly recommend if you are in Santorini.

One of the best things we did while in Santorini!! There is nothing like jumping into the deep blue yet crystal clear waters of the caldera next to an active volcano (but safe to swim near). Our guides were informative and friendly and the food on board was delicious!!! The boat was immaculately clean and well maintained. Do yourself a favor and book this trip if you are lucky enough to visit Santorini - you will not regret it!

Staff was fantastic! They provided interesting information about the history of the land and the places we stopped and swam. Lunch was amazing, best shrimp we’ve ve had on the island yet. Seeing Santorini this close from the water is a must, it shows its beauty and wonder in such a different light. Even if you’ve come by a cruise ship like us, being up and close is completely different. The captain was impressive with all the boats going about he got us in and out in a timely manner. We will be back!

Highlights: The boat itself was in top shape. The transportation offered made the whole day a seamless experience. The lunch was excellent, the crew prepared it on board and did a very impressive job cooking. And, despite some rough seas, the captain managed to get us into the middle of the caldera after warning that the waves may be too big to go out. We appreciated that because it would have been seriously disappointing to miss out on such memorable views and swims.

Our package was downgraded when we arrived to the marina because of winds and seas. Even though we were given a partial refund, there was really no warning that this would happen, and we were disappointed not to make it to Oia like we had hoped and planned to do. One or two members of the crew could have been a little friendlier, but hey, they're sailors after all.
